Challenge

A unique partnership between a state government, a college and a commercial business identified a need to elevate computer technology job skills in the workforce to better meet the needs of a future, internet-based economy.

Solution

With a grant from the state and in-kind contributions from the college and business, Pareo researched, designed and developed a Communication Certificate program that:

  • Delivers critical communication and sales skills to call-center service reps
  • Elevates competencies from telephone to internet-based communication

Results

  • The business experienced a smooth transition from a retail enterprise to an integrated multiple channel enterprise, resulting in growth and increased profitability
  • The college gained a valuable training program relevant to the needs of local businesses
  • The state benefited by elevating the technical skills of its workforce
